Wishlist // Stephen King

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8 // 9

I've periodically posted themed wishlists in the year or so I've had this blog, and honestly, those are some of my favorite posts to put together. I love scouring the web for products inspired by how I'm feeling, what I'm doing or films and other things I happen to enjoy. I'm an obsessive organizer and there's just something I love about making lists where all of the items fit together under a central theme or idea. As you may have noticed, I haven't really been doing Friday Favorites posts lately, and that's because I'm bored senseless with them. I love looking at other peoples', but my own? Not so much. So starting today, I'd like to make themed wishlists a more regular feature on the blog, with today's roundup inspired by my all time favorite author, Stephen King.

Who doesn't love Mr. King? If you raise your hand, we can't be friends. Sorry. Go away. I picked up a copy of Mr. Mercedes to read while I'm house sitting this week, and while it's certainly no Pet Sematary or IT, it's still a great read and showcases all of the reasons why I love Stephen King so much. His character development is phenomenal, he's descriptive without going overboard into Anne Rice territory, and his stories are terrifically terrifying. He preys upon the basic fears many of us have harbored since childhood and reminds us that you're never too old to look out for things that go bump in the night.

The sources for all of the products in this post are listed above. I've already told Zack we're decking our house out in the geometric Overlook carpet pattern when we move, and naturally, he's okay with that. My heart is legitimately broken over the fact that the limited edition Creepshow vinyl by Waxworks Records is already sold out forever. *le sigh* I'll eventually cough up $50 to buy a used copy on eBay, I suppose.

  1. I love the idea of a themed wish list! I'm not much of a reader but I was raised on IT and Pet Sematary. My brothers recorded both of those movies on a VHS tape!
I think I need that t-shirt in my life, that's awesome. The Pennywise bag is way too scary but I like it haha. My living room is going to be horror movie themed so those pillows would be pretty awesome for it! Annnnnnd I collect bobble heads so I think I need that Pennywise one too haha. I used to not like the Pop cartoon-y bobble heads because the likeness ones are sooooo awesome but Pop makes like EVERYTHING into a bobble head. I can always find ones that I'm surprised to see. Is that Creepshow one a print or record? That's pretty sweet!

    1. If you're doing a horror-themed living room, you have to check out Horror Decor! That's who those pillows are from and they have dozens of amazing things. I would buy pretty much everything on the site if I could. Ha. I don't think I could convince Zack to decorate an entire room with horror memorabilia, but I plan to at least cover my office/sewing area in it. Also the Creepshow thing is a vinyl from Waxworks Records. They're putting out limited edition reissues of tons of classic horror soundtracks. Sadly most of them seem to sell out almost immediately :(
